Circle Art from Math Formulas – A Pi Day Activity

$3.00

This is a great way to reinforce math skills while incorporating creative fun with technology. First students solve ten problems related to circles using Pi. Then, using their answers, they create a drawing entirely from the circles using Microsoft PowerPoint. To complete the drawing correctly, students need to have correct calculations on the initial problems and then use the correct measurements for their circles in the PowerPoint drawing. This is a fun way to combine math, art and technology in a project based learning environment. This project was created for middle school, but could be used for upper elementary also.
